Created by Weller Pottery in 1895 for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition
of 1904 in St. Louis Missouri. Crated and returned to Zanesville,
it was stored for 70 years in the Weller Pottery basement.
In 1974, that building was sold to United Technologies and crates
were discovered. They were sent to the Corporate Headquarters in
Hartford, Connecticut where this vase was displayed in their foyer
for 20 years. It is signed by the artist Frank Ferrell.
